Dry, warm and sunny days accompanied Stephen on his annual two-week retreat in May to the Monastery of the Holy Presence in St. Dolay, Brittany.

Stephen reports that, ‘Reflection was especially centred, for me, on seeking to explore how both the Church Fathers and the Puritans offer a stimulus to a rounded, spiritual, affective Christianity. I encountered some personal challenges through such reflection: not least the vital importance of thinking much on Christ.’
