Golden Days at King’s Club

Posted on 09 September 2005
The King’s Club children’s holiday club, ‘Going for Gold’ was pronounced exhausting but incredibly worthwhile by all who were involved in it.

The week started with a ‘beach trawl’ on the Monday afternoon in order to gather materials for a construction activity later in the week. Ten children and four intrepid adult helpers set out with Ron Wright in his bus on an expedition to East Beach to amass a collection that included interestingly shaped stones and pebbles, weathered pieces of coloured glass and pottery as well as dried seaweed, bones, and the odd crab’s claw or two!
