This last week, Ferndale has heard from a number of its friends working overseas.

Gareth Leaney is currently leading a student summer team in Slovakia; helping to run an ‘English and Bible’ camp among Slovakian students which is designed to help them meet Jesus.

Susan and Gary Anderson are currently in England for their summer vacation from the GCQ School in Tirana, Albania. They rejoice in generally good health, religious freedom and the growth of the church in Albania; but recognise the tough decisions some have to make between faith and family.

Mateusz Wichary (pictured), pastor of our ‘twin’ church in Sopot, Poland, reports he, his wife and children are well, that he is now President of Polish Baptist Union. This has placed demands on his time and so the church in Sopot have appointed an assistant. He hopes he and Stephen can ‘exchange pulpits’ again!
