Howard Marshall to give the second Ferndale Lecture

Posted on 16 December 2005
After the announcement that Jim Packer is to inaugurate the Ferndale Lectures, the church are delighted to announce the speaker for 2007. I Howard Marshall, professor emeritus of New Testament Exegesis at Aberdeen University and, perhaps, the foremost evangelical New Testament scholar in Britain today has agreed to visit.

Stephen comments, ‘I have known Howard for many years and have appreciated his friendly support of my own work: in a variety of ways. He has been at the ‘cutting edge’ of biblical and theological reflection for many years and has always shown a keen interest and shrewd evaluation of contemporary trends. We look forward to his being able to offer some well-reflected guidelines as to the state of evangelicalism and his vision for the future.’
