GETTING TO GRIPS WITH THE PAST
Posted on 13 June 2010
Stephen and John Dray shared a Training Day for the Union of Evangelical Churches art Rayleigh on Saturday 12th.
John introduced the main features of the history of the Church from the immediate post-apostolic period to the Council of Chalcedon in 451AD and highlighted the contemporary relevance of many of the issues with which the early Church wrestled. Stephen used the Book of Zephaniah to introduce principles on how to interpret the Old Testament prophets. Lively discussion accompanied both sessions. It is encouraging that the gifts present within the Ferndale church are recognised and used more widely.
