Futurefaith 2007: Breaking News

Posted on 09 March 2006
Plans for Ferndale’s FutureFaith Annual Lectures continue to move forward excitingly. The lectures will commence (as already announced) with the 2006 lectures on 20th May 2006 and the visit of Prof. J. I. Packer and Dr. Daniel Strange. Prof. Howard Marshall has already agreed to speak on 19th May 2007 and Ferndale are now happy to announce that his fellow lecturer will be Dr. John Wilks of the London School of Theology.

John, a Southend ‘boy’ and father of seven, has been Director of Open Learning at the School since 1995. His areas of special interest are Old Testament history and interpretation and Contemporary classical music. His lecturing experience includes six years teaching piano and clarinet and two years in Romania teaching Hebrew exegesis. He keeps CDs for at least 14 different operas in his office (with the pop music hidden as MP3s), enjoys a walk along the local canal towpath and watching Star Trek.
