On the 9th November, supporters of the Southchurch Foodbank gathered at Belle Vue Baptist Church to review the first year’s operation of the Foodbank.

During that time the Foodbank has grown to serve the whole of Southend and helped over 2,000 people in urgent need of something to eat. Ferndale was one of the first distribution points and now regularly helps 6-10 people per week.
In this way the church does what it can to help meet the need of especially single people or single parent families who are often the first in need.
