The Ezra project

Sunday marked the ‘official’ launch of the Ezra Project; the next phase of the Tamim Partnership.

The Partnership was established in 2006 as a joint initiative of Ferndale Baptist Church and the Southend Brethren in Christ Church. It was designed to combine the resources and contacts of the two churches to assist the development of education and preaching of ministers in Matabeleland. Rev. Bonnet Moyo, minister of the Southend Brethren in Christ Church, comments that the centre was designed to be ‘an oasis of resources for research, for the betterment of religious scholars, researchers, budding pastors and experienced pastors’. He adds that it will also seek to tackle the needs of local people ‘offering training services and advice to the marginalised urban communities, equipping them for effective provision of services in their localities.’
