Do not be Afraid
Malkhaz shared the challenge that his own Church had received when, their traditional enemies, the Chechens sought refuge in their country. He reminded his listeners that we are called to ‘Not be afraid’ and described how, faced with this, the Church had sought to minister the needs of the refugess and to ‘be Christ’ through action as well as words. Eventually, over $250,000 had been raised from within Georgia and friends throughout the world that had enabled, for example, educational and medical provision to be put in place and had prompted the repeated question, ‘Why are you Christians doing this for us?‘
