Comfort for the Depressed

Ferndale Resources have made available today a summary in modern English of Richard Sibbes’ classic study of depression and the Christian: ‘The Soul’s Conflict with Itself’.

Many of the Puritans were known as men with a special ability to deal with pastoral issues. Among them, Sibbes was known as the ‘Divine Doctor’. ‘The Soul’s Conflict’ is, arguably, his most famous work and is a superb analysis of the causes and the cures for spiritual depression.
