Another Spectacular Success

The Café was once again open on Easter Saturday to provide the focal point for the annual Easter Egg hunt in Cluny Square.

Organised by the entertainments committee of the Peartree Plus and Cluny Residents Associations hundreds of local children and their families attended on another beautiful sunny day. Face painting, easter egg decoration, a tombola and raffle were among the entertainments.

Attendance by the local police, all the ward councillors and other community representatives made the event one that embraced all.

One comment, that the café was the best thing ever to happen in Cluny Square, was a particular encouragment to the Church. Encouraging, too, was the fact that Wittingham Methodist, inspired by developments atCluny Square arranged with other community groups a highly successful and similar event on Wednesday in Newington Park.
