An Unforgettable Day in the Capital

Posted on 08 July 2006
Last Thursday (6th July), our Polish visitors enjoyed a tour of Westminster, seeing many of the world-famous sights, and learning a bit of the history of our capital. And even the Prime Minister showed up!

The trip began at around 10am, with a train journey and a ride on the Tube.  Emerging at Embankment alongside the Thames, the group followed a route which took in various interesting sights along the way.  From the London Eye and the Houses of Parliament, they moved on to Downing Street, Horse Guard’s Parade (complete with an obliging member of the Household Cavalry), stopping for lunch at Trafalgar Square.  This turned out to be a good choice of picnic spot…
