Large numbers of the community joined the celebrations in Cluny Square on 30th November.

Hosted by the St. Luke’s Community Association (of which Stephen is the chair)  and centred on the church’s café@thesquare it was opened by George Avery of South Essex Homes who had done a sterling job to raise funds to cover the costs. Hot chestnuts, a tombola, childrens’ rides, side shows, a visit from Father Christmas and the Shoebury Salvation Army band all made it a spectacular evening.

We look forward to a similar event next year….
