There was no service at Ferndale on the 11th November since the congregation gathered outside the café for an Act of Remembrance.

Well attended by local residents, the brief service included the broadcasting of the two-minutes silence from Whitehall. Stephen spoke briefly from Micah 4. Drawing upon his recent experiences in the Caucasus mountains, he noted that we live in a world where violence and hatred are found alongside spectacular evidence in nature of the existence of a good God who delights in the beautiful and peaceful. He noted this is not the final chapter of human history. Jesus will, one day fulfil the dreams of human being and nations, in bringing peace. Meanwhile, his first coming, enables us to find personal peace now.
