A RELIABLE BIBLE
Posted on 17 June 2010
On the 15th June, former intern, Gareth invited Stephen to lead a group of Reading University students around the British Museum.
Accompanied by Sarah, Stephen took the students back to biblical times and showed some of the many treasures of the Museum that illustrate and confirm the biblical narrative. These included viewing a Hittite treaty that showed the patriarchal stories accurately ‘fit’ the period that is claimed for them and the Nabonidus cylinder that confirms the existence of the previously unknown (outside of the Bible) Belshazzar.
Stephen sought to demonstrate that, while the Bible’s accuracy has often been doubted, in those matters where evidence exist, the story is confirmed.
And a good time was had by all!
