A faith shared

The growing links between the local churches was visibly demonstrated on Sunday when leaders of several of the fellowships visited one another.

Ferndale was pleased to welcome Martin Harris, vicar of Christchurch, Thorpe Bay, who spoke on the importance of learning to forgive ourselves and one another in the light of God’s forgiveness of us. Gareth had the opportunity to go to Belle Vue Baptist Church and spoke on Ephesians 2, pointing out the amazing grace of God in saving us despite our natural inclination to reject him. Stephen visited St. Luke’s where he was able to share in the celebration of Holy Communion and spoke on the vital need for every local church to demonstrate ‘body life’ in a fellowship of ever-deepening intimacy with God in the Scriptures and prayer.  Southend Christian Fellowship was also involved, with Mark Churchward from SCF speaking at Christchurch, and David Sims of Belle Vue visiting SCF.
