A joint evangelistic service on 24th March with Ferndale and the parish Church of St. Luke’s climaxed four days of mission.

The full church was addressed by Peter Adam of Through Faith Missions who had led the weekend. A number responded and also sought healing. Fr. James McCluskey gave the final benediction. The service had been proceeded by a march of witness, amid snow flurries,  through the neighbourhood from St. Luke’s Church.

Earlier, Thursday night witnessed a Curry Night for men (where Peter also spoke) and a Chocoholic evening for women. A special Gold Club met on Friday where Rita Tuffey-Clark used her own work to give her testimony under the title ‘Art that Speaks’.

Stephen commented, ‘It was such an encouragement to take our witness onto the streets, to see the Church full, to hear the Gospel clearly proclaimed and to enjoy fellowship across those divides that often separate us. The residents of St Luke’s ward and parish need to meet Jesus… not to become Anglicans or Baptists!’
