On the 21st September, the Ferndale congregation were pleased to be able to view the film on Ashiana, describing the work of Divakaran and Usha in Orissa, north east India.

Divakaran, an old friend of Stephen and the fellowship, was formerly a senior executive with OM India. Christianity in india is rapidly growing but, as in Orissa, often subject to severe persecution and even martyrdom. The Ashiana project is designed to build a small community where Christian families can rebuild their shattered lives. Stephen says that ‘This is a worthwhile project undertaken by a godly Christian couple. It is good we can share in prayer for the work.‘ Divakaran is also exploring whether Stephen’s writings might be published and used in India.
